Party Blower Predator/Prey Activity

My 2nd graders LOVED this predator/prey activity!!  We cut out some pictures of bugs, attached adhesive loop velcro to them, then put hook velcro on the end of party blowers - chameleons - catching - prey - fun ensued! The party blowers made great chameleon tongues & my kids had so much fun trying to see who could catch the most bugs! It was such a fun way to start our unit on predators/prey.

The real deal:
I am going to read this pop-up book as soon as it's delivered:
Thank you to Jen from Teaching in the Tongass for the great blog matching frame!

It snowed today here in Central Jersey! Did it snow in your neck of the woods? Have a great week!

  1. Great idea! Love the hands on science activities. Love your new post! It snowed briefly last week, but it melted right away, however during our cloud day lesson, we went out to look at clouds and there wasn't any. We learned that that means COLD weather.
